Contents insurance is the other half of the policy; this is designed to cover the items actually inside your home. Some of your items, if properly insured, can be replaced easily. Unfortunately, some of your items will never be able to be replaced if damaged, for example photos and family heirlooms. You wouldn’t be able to afford to replace it all of your items if you weren’t properly insured, as you likely have many more belongings than you think. You will need to ensure that you take out the correct policy for you, and that you are covered for every eventuality. Make sure you have Building and Content Insurance and cover yourself!
