My computer (lap top, Avio?) has recently started taking 20 minutes to start up , whats the problem?

Posted on June 19th, 2010 by admin in taking minutes | 4 Comments »

I scanned for viruses and so did Geek Squad, they said thats not the problem. Could it be i have to much stuff on my comp.
I log in, and it takes 30 minutes to start all my apps, and allow me to open a program.
I have NORTON 360… is this an antivirus program? is it okay?

Use disk cleanup ! Click my computer then right click Local drive (C) then properties then disk cleanup. A window will appear and check temporary internet files, click ok. And also you can add more RAM to speed up your PC. Uninstall norton because it’s too heavy, and it’s always scanning your system when you turn it on !

RESVERATROL! 60 Minutes

Posted on June 17th, 2010 by admin in taking minutes | 5 Comments »

(CBS) – This 60 Minutes story was first published on Jan. 25, 2009. It was updated on May 21, 2009.

Eighteen years ago, 60 Minutes first examined the so-called French paradox, which suggested that the French – despite a high fat diet and high consumption of wine – had a remarkably low incidence of heart disease compared with Americans. Most researchers agreed that there was something in the wine that offered protection, and a few years later, even the highly cautious federal dietary guidelines say that moderate consumption of red wine can be beneficial.

As 60 Minutes reported in January, scientists across the country have identified a substance in red wine called resveratrol that they believe might do more than just protect the heart, but could in very high concentrations significantly extend life by preventing a number of age related illnesses.

If they’re right, we all may soon be taking a resveratrol pill that could give us an extra decade or two of healthy old age.

Why is my itunes taking over 5 minutes to start up?

Posted on June 8th, 2010 by admin in taking minutes | 1 Comment »

I only have 24 songs on my library and nothing else open but when I start up itunes it takes at least 5 minutes, sometimes more, just to bring up the itunes store. Then, when I do an artist search it takes another 3-4 minutes.

Do you have a old computer? Maybe your computer has to much memory and can’t hold much more which slows the whole computer down. Delete lots, or get a new computer.

Taking off from Las Vegas w/Virgin Atlantic

Posted on June 4th, 2010 by admin in taking minutes | 25 Comments »

Taxi for take off runway 25R at McCarran International airport. Virgin Atlantic flight 44 to Gatwick. “Pretty Woman” G-VROY. This video was taken from seat 55K, taken on 12 May 2009.

Sorry for shaking the camera, it was tremendously rough for the first 10-15 minutes of the flight. What do you expect taking off from Vegas? lol

The in-flight entertainment wasn’t working for a good amount of seats on the plane (including mine). It was a long, tiring, boring flight. Up until the approach to Gatwick :-)

Note the FedEx A300 landing on 25L.
