If I was to write up minutes what format would I use?

Posted on July 26th, 2010 by admin in minutes format | 5 Comments »

I think in Word there’s a doc template – try ‘File’ ‘New’, rather than the ‘new’ icon thing.

I tend to use a table – columns for item number (so you can easily refer to any point); the minute itself; who is assigned to any action; and an action date. One row per ‘minute’.

You can also have a later sections for an actions if you prefer that. Just make it obvious (a) what went on (who said what) and (b) who was tasked with doing what, and by when.

Good luck!

How to convert a numerical figure in to Day:Hour:Minute format by MS Excel?

Posted on July 23rd, 2010 by admin in minutes format | 2 Comments »

I would like to convert 85,75 Hours into ..days…hours.. minutes. It is possible to get it through MS Excel

days = int(85.75 / 24)
hours = int((85.75 – (days*24)))
minutes = int((85.75 – (days*24) – (hours)) * 60)

that should do it!

Then, maybe a VBA script to put the values (as strings) together.

1. Save your file as a different name (to have a backup). 2. Select the cells that you want to modify. 3. Go to "Format", then "Cells", then "Number", then either "Time" or "Custom". 4. Choose the format that best fits your values.

Once you do that, you’ll be able to add / subtract durations of different items – such as calculating video timecodes.

I start computer I takes at least 6 to 8 minutes to start which is a very slow speed. I format the window and ?

Posted on July 18th, 2010 by admin in minutes format | 6 Comments »

pc guide

There are MANY reasons for computer slow downs:

a] not enough memory
b] too many programs starting up with windows at boot up time
c] spyware
d] too many junk files
e] too many restore points

Routine maintenance the will definitely help restore your PC’s speed to what it could/should be…
1. Increase your Virtual Memory, then
2. Download and run RegCure deactivate any startup programs that you DON’T want/need to run at boot time to optimize your startup
3. Uninstall any unwanted programs
4. Ensure that you have more than 500 MB’s of free space on your C: drive. (if not, it’s not IF your PC will crash…it’s WHEN your PC crashes). If not, move your Music/Videos offline to DVD’s or CD’s.
5. Purge all temp folders and internet temp files
6. Run defrag again after all the cleanup you just did.
7.install Registry cleaner and run daily
Use the tool: http://downloadlk.net/themosteffectiveregistrycleaner.htm [if you do not have one]
9. install Antispyware and run daily

How do I my latitude and longitude in correct format?

Posted on July 15th, 2010 by admin in minutes format | 3 Comments »

I need to find it in degrees/minutes/seconds format. Thanks.

Use Google Earth, just point your mouse over the location and it tells you the precise latitude and longitude. If you don’t already have Google Earth you can download it for free… http://earth.google.com/

Some examples…

Big Ben is at 51°30′03" N, 0°07′28" W

The Statue of Liberty is at 40°41′21" W, 74°02′40" N

The Sydney Opera House is at 33°51′24" S, 141°12′55" E

The correct format for writing it is to state the number of degrees without leading zeros but to include leading zeros when stating the minutes and seconds. Hence Big Ben is at 0°07′28" W and not 0°7′28" W or 000°07′28" W.

It’s important to include the W or E in respect of the longitude and the N or S in respect of latitude. Without these then there are 4 possible locations. For Example, 40° 75° could be 40°N, 75°W (New York area), 40°S, 75°W (Off the coast of Chile), 40°N, 75°E (Kyrgystan), or 40°S, 75°E (In the middle of the Pacific).

In respect of latitude the equator is 0, in respect of longitude the Greenwich Meridian is 0 – the precise line running through the centre of the Greenwich Observatory in London.

Depending on the level of accuracy you want to work to you can state just the degrees, or the degrees and minutes or the degrees minutes and seconds. If you want to use very precise locations then the minutes can be decimalised e.g. 0°07′28.84" W – this would pinpoint a location anywhere on the earth’s surface to within 6 inches.

This is workout B from the Advanced TT 15 Minute Express workout.

In this circuit, you will do 5 exercises in a circuit format for 12 minutes and finish with 3 minutes of interval training at the end. The TT Express programs are all about getting you the maximum results in the minimum amount of time. This will take you about 4 minutes your first time through the circuit, so go through it as more of a warmup. In the 2nd, 3rd and 4th time, go at a harder pace.

Start out with 30 seconds of jumps. Jump straight up and land soft.

Move into pull-ups with an overhand grip for another 30 seconds.

Move onto 30 seconds of push presses with palms facing in. Press up and slowly lower back down as you add a little dip.

Next, move into 30 seconds of reverse lunges per each leg.

The next exercise is 30 seconds of a plank on a ball, holding your abs in and your body is in a straight line.

Now you will finish with interval training by doing 15 seconds of sprints followed by 15 seconds of rest and recovery. Move back to sprints for a total of 6 rounds.

That completes this workout.

How many minutes of Audio (MP3 Format) can be stored on 1GB?

Posted on July 12th, 2010 by admin in minutes format | 2 Comments »

it depends on the quality of your songs. if they are 128 khz quality (cd quality) then maybe 200 maximum. but if the quality is 98khz, which isnt noticebly different qualty will be 250~300. you will fill up a gig in no time. i would get at bare minumum 4 gb depending on what you are planning to use it for. if you are going to put all your cds on it, get something bigger, but if you just put a couple hundred songs, then i would get the 1 gb. hope this helps
