Traditionally EM has been used to make way for roads or dams. Obviously for the public good. But more & more governments use EM to take people’s property to get enhanced tax values for the area; and a promise of more jobs, etc. Yet, it too often has the appearance of graft filling cronies purses.

Nowadays eminent domain is wrong. It’s used for control by the greed/power driven politicians. Thank God for the internet; people are getting more involved with politics & are aware of political tricks. We are not as stupid as they once thought we were…look at all the people who regret their vote for 0bama. I’m not saying McCain was any better, Fred Thompson was my choice. Oh well, time to get off my soapbox………

I’m an all conference center junior and senior year. I was a captain Senior year, and maintain a 3.2 GPA. Would this give me a leg up to join the University of kentucky football team.

They have an extensive blackbook of who to contact in the area. As part of being an excellent event planner, they have done their homework by knowing like the back of their hands the meeting facilities and conference centers in their regions. Afterall, many event planners are location-specific, and part of the reasons customers go to them is because they are the experts of where to go in the area.

Networking and strategic relationships are also key. Hotels and event facilities need event planners to make sure to give the business to them. Event planners need hotel people to be able to know what facility would work best for the client.
