ACORN Thug Tactics

Posted on June 21st, 2010 by admin in board minutes | 9 Comments »

Obama has been allied with ACORN and their Project Vote, the radical leftist group now charged with massive vote fraud aimed at electing Barack Obama president of the United States. Obama has long been directly involved with ACORN. An article by Toni Foulkes of ACORN, “Case Study: Chicago-The Barack Obama Campaign,” which appeared in Social Policy magazine in 2004, Foulkes revealed ACORN noticed Obama when he was organizing on the far south side of the city with the Developing Communities Project.

Wrote Foulks: “He was a very good organizer. When he returned from law school, we asked him to help us with a lawsuit to challenge the state of Illinois’ refusal to abide by the National Voting Rights Act Obama took the case, known as ACORN vs. Edgar and we won. Obama then went on to run a voter registration project with Project VOTE in 1992 that made it possible for Carol Moseley Braun to win the Senate that year.

Project VOTE delivered 50,000 newly registered voters in that campaign (ACORN delivered about 5,000 of them). Since then, we have invited Obama to our leadership training sessions to run the session on power every year, and, as a result, many of our newly developing leaders got to know him before he ever ran for office.”

* Obama and Bill Ayers were close associates for years, going back as far as 1995 if not earlier. According to CNN: “A review of board minutes and records by CNN show Obama crossed paths repeatedly with Ayers at board meetings of the Annenberg Challenge Project. The Annenberg Foundation gave the project a $50 million grant to match local private funds to improve schools Obama was asked to serve as the board chairman in 1995 For seven years, Ayers and Obama — among many others — worked on funding for education projects, including some projects advocated by Ayers … The board, for example, gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to Bill Ayers’ small schools project The funding, according to records CNN reviewed, came directly from the Annenberg foundation which Obama chaired. While working on the Annenberg project, Obama and Ayers also served together on a second charitable foundation, the Woods Fund.”

No wonder the Obama campaign wants the Ayers connection to be off-limits.

If "in camera" is only for insiders, what makes it different from a regular Board meeting? Are there minutes?

Posted on June 19th, 2010 by admin in board minutes | 1 Comment »

Is it confidential?

A regular meeting of the board of directors is open to all directors, but others are invited to attend part or all of the meeting, including company officers, attorneys, accountants, bankers, insurance agents and the like.

The law and bylaws may require that certain matters be held in confidence. These are the "in camera" (i.e. confidential) meetings or parts of meetings.

In all cases, minutes of these meetings are prepared. Such minutes are usually kept separate from the regular minutes and often under the control of the company’s outside legal counsel.

There are several matters which are deliberated by the board "in camera", including:

(1) Personnel matters — whom to hire, fire; how much to pay; bonuses, etc.

(2) Contract matters — negotiations and deliberations concerning significant corporate contracts, such as union negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, etc.

(3) Litigation matters — for obvious reasons.

(4) Shareholder matters — such as deliberations about issuing shares, declaring dividends, etc.

Hope this helps.

My first million point game of Donkey Kong (Arcade) – 1,037,700 kill screen

Posted on June 17th, 2010 by admin in board minutes | 25 Comments »

Done on Sept 13, 2009 from 4-6:30pm on an original Donkey Kong TKG4-14 board at my home in New York, NY. I had a flight to catch at 8:20pm and even contemplated ending the game early! I missed the world record held by Billy Mitchell by 12,500 points. The score is also 11,400 points shy of Steve Wiebe’s official high score. In this video you will see:

the last 8 minutes of my game:
- sacrificing my spare life on the last barrel board
- killscreen
and 2 minutes of verifications:
- “Nintendo of America” screen
- starting a new game to show 3 man settings
- reboot of the machine to show no unoriginal chips are installed

How much should I charge for taking the minutes for a board meeting? Should it be a flat rate or per hour?

Posted on June 16th, 2010 by admin in board minutes | 3 Comments »

A lot of board (bored) meetings go on forever even when they’re scheduled for an hour or so. When you plan on working for an hour and it becomes 3, it’s kind of a burn so you should bill accordingly; e.g., by the hour , or a flat fee up to x minutes/hours.

Tutorial: How to protect your longboard for free, in 20 min

Posted on June 13th, 2010 by admin in board minutes | 13 Comments »

MUSIC: DUSTY MILLER – WAY DOWN
(from the album THE GRAND SLEEP)
www.dusty-miller.de
(plenty more Dusty Miller on this channel)

A friend of mine ruined his pretty expensive board after five minutes.
He failed a trick, the board ran into a wall and the laminate just burst from the crash.

I heard you could protect your longboard with a length of garden hose.
Couldn’t find a tutorial on this so I thought I might as well make one.

The board is a Gravity Kalai (roughly Dervish style, but with much tighter flex. Fine board). It’s a drop-through board, but I applied the same protection to my top-mounted board, it’s just a bit more complicated since you need to cut away the edges of your riser/shock pad and mount the cable ties sideways (if anyone wants a tutorial on that, I can make one).
The video is edited in order to avoid boredom, in real time this took me 20 minutes (for both ends of the board). So far, the piece of hose works fine as a protection and is very sturdy.
So this is a cheap, easy and quick way to protect your precious board.

This is my first tutorial video, so here’s a
DISCLAIMER:
1. This may not be the only method, but it works fine for me. If you know anything better, feel free to make your own tutorial.
2. I hereby declare that I am completely uncool. Mounting a garden hose to your longboard is nerdy and nobody should EVER do it. So if you were going to say that, now you don’t need to anymore.
3. Dusty MiIler is my own band, so..
Youtube: No need to mute the audiotrack, ‘k?
Everyone else: Just mute if you don’t like the song.
4. English is not my mothertongue, so kindly forgive any mistakes.

I hope I could help you with this tutorial.
Longboarding, for me, is all about relaxing and having a good time.
Life’s too short for internet arguments.
So grab your board, get out and have a great time!
Hang loose

About how many minutes to airlines let people board?

Posted on June 8th, 2010 by admin in board minutes | 4 Comments »

Is it about 20 minutes before take off?

Typically about 30 minutes, except for very little planes. And that’s 30 minutes before scheduled departure, not before takeoff.

Twenty minutes before scheduled departure is the time by which you need to board (or be at the gate, in the process) or risk losing your seat and or missing the flight. Ten minutes before nominal departure is time for the door to be closed.

Board Games with Scott 010 – Indonesia

Posted on June 4th, 2010 by admin in board minutes | No Comments »

Board Games with Scott is a weekly video explanation and review. This week, I’m looking at Indonesia, which is a heavy strategy eurogame. It involves balancing production and delivery and dealing with mergers and acquisitions. This is a longer episode than normal – it’s slightly over 30 minutes, but I wanted to fully explain the game.

can i build a electronic circuit board to split the 15 minute segments on a plug in timer in to minutes?

Posted on June 2nd, 2010 by admin in board minutes | 4 Comments »

i have seen a forum somewhere that shows you how to make a circuit board that will split the 15 minutes segments into minute segments is this possible or am i dreaming ta in advance

It would be a lot safer, easier and cheaper to buy a timer that did the job you want. You can build a timing circuit to suit any period of time but it would not be a viable option.
