what is a ‘call to order’ in the minutes of a Board meeting?

Posted on July 26th, 2010 by admin in board minutes | 1 Comment »

It means that multiple conversations had broken out amongst the Directors and the secretary taking the mimiutes was unable to record what was being said.

In effect it means ‘Will you all Shut Up so we can get on with the official business’ :-)

I live in a condo, I would like to view the minutes of the board meeting, is that allowed?

Posted on July 23rd, 2010 by admin in board minutes | 3 Comments »

I was told by someone on the board I was not allowed to see them. They said any letters of complaint, or sensitive items were not to be viewed.I thought because I am an owner, I can see what happens at these meetings. Can someone help me out? thanks

Technically, you should be able to view the minutes of the board meeting as well as a recap. However, items such as personal complaints and information pertaining to tenant specifics are pretty much off limits. Reason being, perhaps your neighbor does not like you and they habitially complain about various things you do… well if you receive that information from the condo association about your neighbors eronous complaints and then decide to harm your complaining neighbor in any form or fashion. You neighbor or next of kin can sue the association for negligence.

will i have enough time in 35 minutes to get off plane in london to board a plane going to dublin?

Posted on July 21st, 2010 by admin in board minutes | 4 Comments »

i have booked a holiday in biarritz, coming home i have 35 mins to get off plane in london and board plane going to dublin, flying with ryanair and they take no responsibility for connecting flights that are late

Ive done it before but
1 i was flying into the same terminal ,
2 i had no luggage
3 I was arriving on a ryanair flight ( ryanair overstates there arrival time to statistically be more punctual ) so i arrived a bit "early"
4 i was be myself so i legged it

Tricky but possible you end up running through these corridors that’s like being inside a bendy straw so dont get lost

I wonder if you actually have 35 minutes because the time ryanair states gate closing is never accurate ,people are always still boarding .If this is how you are taking you 35 minutes i would add 10 mins .

Warning if you are going to do this and have never really ran for a plane with this little time .Please please take my advice ,when you go through the metal detector and have to take off your belt .Forget the plane ,take some time and put that belt back on .Your about to sprint and yes it is as bad as you think it is when your pants fall down when running

How to take minutes in the Board Meeting. Need some tips?

Posted on July 18th, 2010 by admin in board minutes | 1 Comment »

I am a minute taker. The way I take the minutes for my meetings, is basically just take down the important issues what have been raised and voted on. Put down who has proposed the item on the agenda and who has second it. Always make sure that you do an attendance list for every meeting too. Once you have done the minutes, take them home and then send them to the chair person and let he/she edit them.

How to take minutes from the Board Meeting. Need some tips?

Posted on July 15th, 2010 by admin in board minutes | 4 Comments »

Prepare beforehand: have a copy of the agenda, find out more about the topics for discussion, have the names of the attendees and read through previous minutes to see how these were written. During the meeting, listen intently for 4 things: the issue, the proposed solutions, the resolution, the reason for arriving at the resolution. When writing the minutes, do not try to achieve verbatim recording, but make sure you have the points raised clearly written down and important words and phrases that were used. Finally, don’t be distracted by other work: preparing the snacks, taking phone calls, etc.

can it really take 30 minutes to board off the plane if the plane is big and I am in back?

Posted on July 12th, 2010 by admin in board minutes | 2 Comments »

can it really take 30 minutes to board off the plane if the plane is big and I am in back? someone said that. 30 minutes??? How could that be?? Someone would literally have to pass out if that happened?

I hate how someone in the crowd when the plane deplanes can slow the whole boarding down. WHAT ARE THE THINGS THAT CAN CAUSE THE DEPLANING TO BE SLOWED DOWN WHEN THE PLANE LANDS!!!!

when people were slowly getting off the plane when the plane landed in MAnchester from Charlotte at 12:20 am (I was connecting in Charlotte from Jacksonville), I asked this girl what is taking so long and she said the last plane was on these 2 people were arguing about their luggage crush each others and it took 10 minutes to get off because of that. SHE TOLD THEM TO ARGUE ABOUT IT WHEN THEY GET OFF THE PLANE AND WHEN THEY SAID SOMETHING OF IT, SHE SAID TO CHECK TO SEE IF THE LUGGAGE IS DAMAGED WHEN THEY GET OFF THE PLANE AND THEN ARGUE ABOUT IT!!!! WHY 10 MINUTES, why couldn’t she and everyone else get around them??? I REALLY WISH I ASKED FOR HER NUMBER!!! I Would have done the same thing she did and I complimented on her for standing up to them, she thought just like me. WHY COULDNT THE FLIGHT ATTENDANTS HAVE DONE SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
I Would have tried to get by them
See what I mean

and can that happen where people chat with the flight crew and it slows the boarding down? and one time I thought this guy was going to stop and look through his mail when he picked up his mail out of his bag when the plane was deplaning and read it and block everyone, IF HE DID I WOULD HAVE ASKED HIM TO READ IT WHEN THEY BOARD OFF!

ALSO I am depressed of being single and what if my next plane trip I am derpessed about it and want to be left alone and not bothered on the plane, wHAT DO I DO TO NOT BE BOTHERED???? OR TO STOP SOMEONE FROM BOTHERING ME???

It takes long because people are getting their stuff. No way to hurry them up. Being rude to a rude person makes them even slower. Now how to have no one talk to you is easy get a window seat and look out the window or read a book. If your in a seat and the person has to pass you they will say something just so as they don’t seem rude. If your not in the way and don’t look at them they wont talk to you.
