It’s an easy choice for a pharmacist to make if he has to decide on whom to hire between two applicants, someone with a pharmacy technician certification or someone who doesn’t possess any. Needless to say, the certified pharmacy technician is the obvious choice between the two applicants. Although all it needs to be a pharmacy technician is a high school diploma or its equivalent, a certification from either the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians is very much appreciated by employers. Then again, a being certified and finishing a training program are the best combination for a pharmacy technician.
