The news is the worst thing to watch on TV because they tell you everything is terrible and they make your life worse. I listen to positive, uplifting materials about how to be successful and make your dreams come true. I quit watching the news because the success gurus told me to, and it has helped improve my life a lot. Now I just spend my time raising my income instead of worrying about the economy and all that bullshit that they talk about on the news.

@6Twisted aren’t youtube and tv different though? because on tv, someone else has picked what videos to play, but on youtube, the individual gets to decide what they want to see, and what they don’t want to see. and i don’t see how youtube is “just as bad” as tv, when youtube has way more information on it, available any time of day, and tv is just a pre-determined playlist of shows that someone else picked out and that never really get any different, just kind of keep repeating themselves.

While I feel that’s completely OK to have some guilty pleasures like watching ”Junk TV” I tend to divide these viewers in two categories;
1. Your average American Idol or Family Guy fan, which I’m not against, I mean, so long as you know it’s purely empty entertainment.
2. The Jersey shore, Kardashians and all those type of shows have no redeemable qualities and the people who watch them are at risk of becoming more idiotic each minute they’re exposed to that garbage.
